Breakaway headers are one of the essential components to have around – these are used on just about everything. They are great for connecting things together, soldering to perf-boards, sockets for wires or break-away headers, plugging into solderless breadboards, and so on.
These headers have a 2.54mm pitch (breadboard compatible) and are 40 pins in length. The headers can be easily snapped between the pins to create a section with the correct number of pins for your application.
This specific version has extra long pins and is great for stacking boards that need a little extra clearance. The headers measure 21mm tall (overall) with the pins measuring 15.5mm on the long side.
