Description
This SWD (Serial Wire Debug) cable for the Raspberry Pi Pico H is a specialized cable designed to facilitate programming and debugging of the Pico H microcontroller board. The cable measures 100mm (3.94 inches) in length, providing adequate reach and flexibility for connecting your Pico H board to another device (Raspberry Pi, Debugger) or another Raspberry Pi Pico (which can also be used as a debugging probe).
On the output side, the SWD cable is equipped with Dupont male connectors. These connectors feature a simple, single pin arrangement that allows for easy connection to breadboards, jumper wires, or other compatible female connectors on various devices, such as programmers or debuggers.
At the other end of the cable, a Pico H compatible JST-SH plug is present. This plug securely fits into the Pico H’s SWD port, ensuring a reliable connection for debugging tasks.
The SWD port can be used for resetting the board, loading and running code, setting breakpoints in your code, line-by-line step through, and inspection of variables at different points of the program. For more information on debugging with SWD on the Pico, please consult Chapter 6 of the Getting Started guide for Raspberry Pi Pico.
