Description
Ceramic capacitors are great for filtering out noise above 1KHz – place one of these next to the VCC pin on all of your ICs to improve stability. Power spikes and other noise can cause all sorts of weird things to happen in your project – this 0.47uF Ceramic Capacitor should help quite a bit! This specific capacitor is rated at 50V.
These through hole capacitors have a 0.100″ (2.54mm) spacing, meaning they will work great with any standard solderless breadboard, protoboard, or perfboard.
