Description

The Adafruit MPU-6050 is an easy to use 6-axis Inertial measurement Unit (IMU). The breakout board is based on the MPU-6050, a combined 3-axis accelerometer and 3-axis gyro, and has everything needed to get it running with 3 or 5V logic.

The 3-axis accelerometer is used tell you which way is down towards earth by measuring gravity while the 3-axis gyroscope is used to measure rotation. These two combined data sources will allow you to see how your project is moving through space.

Since the board works with 3.3V or 5V logic and uses I2C to communicate, it can be connected to your Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or just about any other microcontroller or single board computer. To ensure hookup is as easy as possible, the board has two Qwiic / STEMMA QT connectors and can simply be plugged in to any compatible Qwiic / STEMMA QT board or port expansion.
