Description
DIP sockets, also known as Dual Inline Package sockets, are a type of integrated circuit socket commonly used in electronic circuitry for the mounting and removal of dual inline package (DIP) chips. These specific sockets are characterized by their 0.3-inch (7.62 mm) pitch between pins, allowing for efficient utilization of board space while ensuring reliable electrical connections. DIP sockets provide an accessible solution for various applications, such as prototyping, repair, and device upgrades, due to their ease of insertion and removal of integrated circuits.
This kit contains 66 DIP sockets in several variations ranging from DIP-6 to DIP-28 and is contained within a handy segmented carrying case. These are the 0.300″ width, used with most commonly available DIP packages.
