Many model builders, hobbyists, and prop-makers often wish if there were a smaller LED they could wire into their projects for lighting effects. In the past, there were very few options for small lights, incandescent would get hot and burn out quite quickly and LEDs were large only available in limited colors.

With the advent of smaller electronic components used in our modern devices came new LEDs at increasingly smaller sizes. The trouble with these tiny LEDs was that they were meant to mount direct to a circuit board and were incredibly hard to handle.

These tiny 0805 surface mount LEDs are pre-wired with two very fine wires – meaning these can be easily wired to any model boat, train, plane, car, spaceship, cosplay prop or whatever else you may want to add tiny lights to. As with all LEDs, a current limiting resistor is required.
