Description

ESCs (Electronic Speed Controllers) are used to drive Brushless Motors. The brushless motors found in most RC planes, Quadcopters, etc. don’t work if you simply apply power, and require special motor controllers to operate. This ESC is specifically designed to drive the 3 phase brushless motors we stock have in stock and is rated to a continuous output of 20A and burst current of 25A. It can also run on either NiMH or Lithium batteries with a voltage input range suited to 2S and 3S configurations.

The speed controller is loaded with additional features including a safety arming feature, which ensures that the motor will not spin regardless of the throttle stick position when the battery is connected. Additionally, the ESC offers a throttle calibration function that allows compatibility with various transmitters, low voltage cutoff to prevent batteries from being completely drained, over-heat protection to prevent damage to the ESC, and throttle signal loss protection if it strays out of range and your transmitter can no longer communicate.

On top of all of that, this ESC also has an integrated BEC. A BEC, or Battery Eliminator Circuit, is used to step down the voltage from the main battery to a lower, stable voltage suitable for powering the receiver and other electronic devices, such as servos and flight controllers. The BEC is rated to 5V and 2A.
