Description

This small 2 channel motor driver is based on the TC1508a dual full-bridge motor driver chip. The driver is capable of safely handling two DC motors or a single 2 phase stepper motor with voltages of 2-10V at up to 1.5A continuous current, or 2.5A peak. Alternatively, it can be used to drive other inductive loads such as solenoids or relays.

The chip features very low internal resistance, meaning less heat at higher current, and no need for additional cooling. If you do end up running it too hard, integrated thermal protection prevents damage to the chip.

To use this board: connect your DC motors to the pins labeled Motor A and Motor B, 2-10VDC to your power pins, and your four digital IO pins from your microcontroller to Int1 – Int4. Inputs can be driven with a PWM signal for speed control.
