Wire is an essential part of almost any electronic project. These larger spools contain 100’ of 22AWG Stranded Core Wire meaning you can pick up a bunch of different colors to keep your wiring organized!
Stranded core wire has a braid of finer copper strands inside rather than one solid piece. This makes stranded wire quite flexible and much less likely to break due to metal fatigue. Stranded wire is ideal in situations where it will be bent or moved over and over again. For situations where a ridged wire is needed (like breadboarding) we do carry Solid Core Wire as well.
22AWG (American Wire Gauge) is the internal size of the wire. Typically with 22AWG you can run a couple amps a couple feet without too much voltage drop. For longer distances or higher current, a larger sized wire will be needed (smaller AWG number).
