Don’t have a lot to say? The 8 x 2 is perfect for displaying a small amount of text! This character display is the same idea as the very familiar 16×2 character display, just with half the number of characters per line – for a nice narrow display. The screen uses a blue background and white text – 2 lines of 8 characters can be displayed. Due to the pin configuration, this version isn’t directly compatible with any of the I2C Character Backpacks or Shields, but it can be controlled directly with the same standard 6 digital pins.
