Description
A Zener diode works just like a conventional diode up until the point you hit the breakdown voltage (the point at which the diode can no longer “hold back” the current trying to flow backwards in your circuit). A Zener diode allows everything over the breakdown voltage to trickle through while holding back the rated voltage. Zener diodes make great low current voltage stabilizers and reference voltages for this reason so having a selection to work from is very handy for prototyping.
This kit includes 300 Zener Diodes in 30 different values (10 pcs per value). The values range form 2V to 39V and each cut tape is stamped with the voltage rating. All of these components are packed inside a nice case, making it easy to pack around and keep track of everything in the kit.
