Description
Squirrel cage fans, also known as centrifugal fans, are a type of blower commonly used for air movement in various applications. They get their name from the shape of the fan wheel, which is cylindrical with multiple fan blades positioned radially around the wheel, resembling a hamster or squirrel cage. Air is drawn in axially from the center of the fan, then redirected 90 degrees and discharged radially. This unique design allows for high efficiency, quiet operation, and the ability to generate a relatively high pressure compared to axial fans.
This large fan measures 107 x 104 x 34mm and features three mounting holes. The side outlet measures 33mm in diameter and will flow about 16CFM at 12VDC.
