Description
Need to bring cables into a weatherproof case without also bringing in the elements? Cable glands are a great solution. Rather than a basic drill hole or a rubber grommet, a cable gland is a much more weather resistant method of bringing wires into an enclosure. A cable gland works by compressing the jacket of a cable to form a weather resistant seal.
Cable glands are often used in areas where there is direct exposure to the elements or ingress of dust (or insects!) is a problem. This particular gland fits cable with a diameter of 3 to 6mm (0.118″ to 0.24″). To install, drill a 13mm hole in your enclosure or bulkhead and install the cable gland. Fits materials up to 10mm thick.
