Description
The DC barrel plug is a very common connector; these power connectors are found on just about everything! This version is a bit different – it has a much longer barrel and is ideal for situations where the mating connector is mounted in a thick panel. The 5.5 x 2.1mm plug is compatible with all female 5.5 x 2.1mm female connectors and the barrel measures 14mm deep.
Inside the removable plastic shell the connector has two solder tabs, one for each contact, and a crimp strain relief that will help keep everything in place. The plastic outer shell also has strain relief built in – just be sure to slide it onto your cable before soldering!
