Description

The ESP8266 microcontroller is an excellent choice for IoT projects – it is low cost, small, and well supported. However, like most other microcontrollers, it cannot directly control high current or high voltage loads and it is not directly compatible with breadboards or perfboards. This assembly allows the ESP8266 to operate within a 12V system and switch higher voltage / higher current devices from a compact, easy to mount, package.

The ESP8266 1 Channel Relay Board is a ready-to-program IoT Relay module featuring the ESP8266 SMT module (ESP-12E), a high quality 10A relay, a power supply circuit, and all of the necessary components for it to operate. The board  is designed to fit in a standard Hammond 1591L enclosure. Power input and relay contacts are all brought out to a large 5 pin screw terminal. Power is supplied through VCC / GND, while Common, Normally Open, and Normally Closed relay contacts are brought out for the relay.

To add further functionality, we have also included a SparkFun Qwiic / Adafruit STEMMA QT connector for the easy addition of sensors!
