Description
A lock nut or self-locking nut is a nut that uses additional material (Nylon in this case) to increase friction on the screw thread. The Nylon has a slightly smaller inner diameter than the expected screw thread and deforms as the thread enters. This extra friction ensures the nut will not freely spin off and can help prevent loosening due to vibration. This specific lock nut has an M3 thread and fits all M3 hardware we carry.
