Description
Limit switches work great on anything from end stops on CNC machines to impact detectors on small roaming robots. They work like any other momentary switch and provide both the normally open and normally closed contacts. Limit switches differ in how the switch is actuated – this switch has a simple plastic button to change the contact.
This micro limit switch is designed for low voltage / low current applications and can be found in various computer mice and joysticks. The dimensions (excluding pins) are 12.8 x 5.8mm x 6.5mm. On the bottom, the three pins are at a 5.08mm pin pitch, which is compatible with perfboards (hitting every second through hole).
