Description
The Molex KK Series of crimp connector is a great way to create a solid connection in a relatively small footprint while still using a removable connector. Since they use a 0.100″ / 2.54mm pitch, these can be easily added to proto-boards, Arduino shields, Raspberry Pi Hats, BeagleBone Capes, and pretty much anything else that uses the standard breadboard pitch.
This is a 100-pack of contacts, these are crimped onto a wire and then inserted into the pin housing. This contact also has a locking tab which prevents the wire from being unintentionally pulled from the connector housing.
While these could be crimped with a careful hand and pliers, these Crimping Pliers work quite well with the Molex KK Series of Pins.
