The Akai MPC Live II, also known as MPC Live MK2, is a portable music production workstation that includes built-in speakers, making it a self-contained unit for music creation anywhere. It features a 7″ touchscreen, 16 velocity-sensitive RGB-backlit pads, and 4 endless encoder “Q-Link” controls. The MPC Live II now includes a built-in dual tweeter/woofer monitoring system, allowing for work with or without headphones, and it has four stereo 3.5mm TRS CV/Gate connectors for interfacing with analog synthesizers, drum machines, and Eurorack modules.
The MPC Live II supports the latest version of Akai’s MPC software, version 2.8, which includes MIDI Multi control, providing command over all studio equipment and enabling inter-device routing and control options.
It also includes new hardware buttons for easy access to common tasks such as Mute, Time Correct, and Mix, and the master volume control is now on top for easier reach.
The MPC Live II is battery-powered and can provide 5-6 hours of use without an outlet. It comes with 16GB of sounds to get you started.
