Description
The Raspberry Pi Active Cooler is an integrated heatsink and fan designed specifically for the Raspberry Pi 5. The Pi 5 features special mounting holes for this fan along with a 4-pin header to power and control the variable speed fan. On the back of the heatsink, three thermal pads align with the contact points on the Raspberry Pi. Adding this cooling capacity allows for the Pi 5 to be run at heavy loads for extended periods of time without fear of overheating.
To attach this to your Raspberry Pi 5, simply remove the protective paper on the back of the heatsink, exposing the thermal pads. Align the two spring loaded pins with the mounting holes and press each until it locks. The fan connector is located between the GPIO header and the USB connectors – a small plastic cap protects it.
