Description
This brass nut is a critical part of building a lead screw based linear positioning system. This nut is specifically machined to fit the 2mm pitch square thread of a T8 Lead Screw. We carry several sizes of this lead screw in the shop, and this is the easiest way to translate that spinning shaft into a linear position.
The nut measures 22.25mm in diameter and 15.75mm in length. It’s 4 external mounting holes are used to attach the nut to the movable portion of your project. By stopping the nut from spinning, it will instead travel up and down the lead screw. Many DLP 3D printers use this method of linear positioning to control their Z axis.
