Description
The DN15 is an easy to use solenoid valve designed for use with water. The solenoid valve is constructed of durable plastic and features a 1/2″ Nominal non-taped National Pipe thread on each end.
This version of the valve is designed for use in 12V systems and is connected to via 1/4″ spade terminals. At 12V the solenoid will draw approximately 0.6A and will require a driver circuit of some sort when used with a microcontroller. We have an excellent tutorial on this available here!
The valve arrangement is normally closed, with power required to keep the valve open. Due to the design of the valve, a minimum pressure of 3PSI is required on the supply side to keep the valve fully closed.
